Being a travel agent is not just a job it is a passion. It has to be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable vocations you can choose. Working with Explorer Travel we can help you build a successful and profitable business. You will have access to all the tools used by retail travel agents including travel trade technology to search for flights, hotels, cruises, package holidays, accommodation and car hire enabling you to sell everything from package- to tailor made- holidays and car hire to travel insurance. As part of Triton, a consortium of the three largest travel agents' associations: Worldchoice; Global and Advantage; you will enjoy the best commission rates in the industry. It all sounds great but there is more - all your bookings are made on our account so you don't need any cash reserves to start trading!
So far we probably sound like all the other travel franchises but we have one fundamental and important difference: with us you can specialise in one or more areas of travel and we will build, maintain and host those specialist web sites for you. We do this because we believe that the only way to be successful on the internet is to specialise. More and more of us are using the internet to research and book our travel but we are also becoming more adventurous and demand new and exciting types of travel that we want on our terms: travelling on the dates we want to travel on and staying where we want to stay. By specialising we can tap into this lucrative growing market and compete on equal terms with the major players like Lastminute.com and Expedia. Some of our franchisees operate up to SIX specialist sites selling everything from opera breaks and train journeys to battlefield tours...
In addition to putting together tailor made travel itineraries from ATOL bonded suppliers Consultants can also create their own tours and packages just like a tour operator. This additional flexibility allows franchisees to develop their entrepreneurial skills and grow a truly unique travel business. Consultants can combine their passion for travel with their passion for a sport, hobby or a place and make money at the same time. You may wish to sell cricket tours or diving lessons in Malta.
We will create, host and maintain your web sites for you. Your general travel web site will include:

You may want to promote travel to a particular country or specialise in a specific type of travel such as cruises or ski-ing. The important thing is to use your web sites to sell the type of travel that you are passionate about whether it is visiting Father Christmas in Lapland or scuba diving in the Maldives. The more focused your web site is the easier it is to market and promote.
You will be provided with the most comprehensive range of travel technology available including access to world travel guides and on-line search and booking with access to all the major tour operators, cruise companies, airlines and car rental companies. Consultants also benefit from a range of online travel trade software giving them instant access to valuable information on resorts and hotels around the world. "Gazetteers" is an online database offering world wide guides to resorts, hotels and airports. If you need to know if there is a pharmacy at Naples Airport or how far the Hotel Playa is from the beach Gazetteers will tell you! Our travel search and booking system (SABs) enables Ambassadors to search across 150 ATOL bonded tour operators, most of the world's major airlines, car rental companies and approximately 55,000 hotels worldwide. Triton Rooms and Triton Airfares offer Ambassadors access to trade deals on flights and accommodation all over the world at generous commission levels.
As-well as travel our Consultants also sell a range of travel extras including travel insurance, airport parking and lounges, car hire, event tickets and excursions providing your clients with a complete travel solution whilst enhancing your earnings potential.
Whilst you deal with your clients we support you with all your administrative needs. Once you have taken a booking we will look after the entire administrative process for you leaving you free to continue building your business.
You do not need any travel trade experience to run a successful travel business. After an initial five day training course at our residential training centre you will be invited to attend one day training sessions as you grow and develop your business. You will be supported by our franchise manager and supported by the staff at our Wellingborough call centre.
The only essential equipment you require is a laptop computer with WiFi (wireless internet access). This is required for the training course. Your laptop must have Adobe Reader and Java Script loaded but don’t worry if this means nothing to you right now as we will help you download them. They are both universally recognised safe free downloads.
You will earn a generous 70% of the gross profit on travel sales. With no administration and extremely low monthly overheads the profit potential is huge. There is no limit to earnings and you can grow your business as big as you want. Commission Example
Our monthly management fee reflects the true cost of hosting and maintaining your web sites as well as providing you with access to our on-line travel trade technology. Monthly fee: £150 plus VAT.
All our Travel Consultants are eligible to become members of the exclusive Travel Agents’ Travel Club which offers extremely cheap travel and accommodation all over the world to travel agents and their immediate family.
As an Explorer Travel Consultant you will also be able to sell overseas property without paying an additional franchise fee. You will market our overseas property portfolio to prospects and clients. When you introduce a client who purchases a property from one of our property partners you will receive a generous commission of up to 5% of the sales price! >Find out more
