Do I need any experience?

No. We provide you with initial training to introduce to the industry, the technology and sales and marketing. Training is on-going and you will be invited on both compulsory and voluntary training courses on a regular basis.

Can I sell everything that a high street travel agent sells?

Yes. Our Franchisees have access to all the same products and services as any independent high street travel agent and often much more. The huge buying power of Worldchoice makes us very competitive. We deal with over 150 tour operators, all the airlines and have access to over 50,000 villas, hotels and apartments. We also sell holiday insurance, airport parking, airport lounges, car hire, excursions and event tickets.

Can I become a Tour Operator?

In addition to putting together tailor made travel itineraries from ATOL bonded suppliers Consultants can also create their own tours and packages just like a tour operator.

This additional flexibility allows franchisees to develop their entrepreneurial skills and grow a truly unique travel business.

Consultants can combine their passion for travel with their passion for a sport, hobby or a place and make money at the same time.

How do I manage the administration?

You don’t have to. We do all the administration for you.

How do I get my business?

Consultants operate a general travel site and up to four specialist websites. The specialist site should focus on travel that you are passionate about whether it is ball room dancing in Vienna or fishing on the Amazon!

Ambassadors operate an interactive general travel web site with on-line booking.

Your web site is your shop and we must get people to visit it. We will work with you to market your web site by developing an internet market campaigna and optimising your site. Together we will market our products and services through the web site and via the regular XTC e-travel bulletin, advertising, personal contact and referral.

How much time do I need to spend working at the business?

The business can be run full or part time. Being internet based with communication by email, mobile and land line it is a very flexible business that can be run from anywhere in the world. Remember, the more time and commitment you give it the more successful it will be.

What equipment do I need?

We will supply you with all the Travel Trade technology that you need including electronic brochures, world guides and on-line booking to all the major tour operators, airlines, car rental companies, cruise companies, and accommodation suppliers.

All you need to supply is a computer with broadband.

Do I get my own territory?

No. This is an internet based business and your business could come from any geographic location in the UK. Anyway, we do not want to limit your ambition or restrict your earnings.

Should I be VAT registered?

No. VAT registration is not necessary but we advise you to seek the advice of your accountant before making a final decision. This is a very simple business: you will be paid your commission once each month by Bank Transfer. Unless you are earning in excess of the VAT threshold there is no need to be VAT registered.

What are the fixed monthly costs?

Working from home means that your overheads are very low and so is your risk but you will have to pay a small charge to gain access to the travel trade technology which includes holiday and flight search, electronic brochures, “late deals”, cruise booking and world travel guides. Your total monthly fixed costs are £110 plus VAT.

How much support do you give me?

We give you as much support as you need. We provide you with training do all your administration and help you with sales and marketing.

How do I get paid?

Commission is paid by bank transfer the month after the client has travelled. You will receive a monthly commission statement detailing all your transactions.

How do I get started?
