About Explorer Travel

Explorer Travel was created in 2005 by Steve Wood.

Steve has had a long and successful career in the franchise market. In the 1990s he founded and ran one of the fastest growing franchises in the UK: specialising in the automotive refinishing market.

In 2002 he worked with Worldchoice as a sales and marketing consultant reporting directly to the board of directors. Worldchoice is one of the oldest established and largest of the travel agency consortiums.

After 3 years in the travel market he founded Explorer Travel as the first totally “virtual” travel agency franchise.

Explorer Travel now has staff in the UK, Spain, Germany and Australia supplying and supporting a nationwide network of Explorer Travel franchisees selling travel via the internet.

Our success is in a large part due to our dedication and understanding of how to market on the internet which is the fastest growing distribution channel for travel products.

We manage over 300 travel websites for our franchisees many of which appear on page one of the search engines.
